Andrea Delagarza

Andrea Delagarza is a Business Representative and Organizer of Pipefitters Local Union No. 211 from the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada. 

She is the President of the South Texas Building Trades, and she is an Executive Board Member of the Harris County Area Labor Federation.

Before being a Union Officer, she worked as an HVAC Journeyman for Johnson Controls Inc. in 2019 where she performed duties of service and repair of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration units.

Prior to joining her Local Union, she was a Machinist Mate Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, where she served aboard USS Cole from 2015 to 2019. 

She was Honorably Discharged obtaining awards like the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Letter of Commendations from her Command.

Her skills have been obtained through formal training as HVAC Technician with EPA Universal Certification in the Navy,

Area Safety Council courses, and Local Union classes. Also, trained in COMET I and Labor Law by the United Association.She is currently enrolled at the University of Houston – Downtown pursuing her B.A. in International Business.

American-born and Mexican-raised, Andrea Delagarza is a proud Latina in the Building Trades.
