Turn Out The Vote

All over Texas, and especially in Dallas, AFL-CIO activists are helping turn out record numbers of voters. Herb Keener organized a downtown rally for the first day of early voting, October 22, with backing from the AFL-CIO, Young Active Labor Leaders, and the Texas Alliance for Retired Americans. Major speakers were congressional candidates Dan Brown and Colin Allred.

Allred emphasized the critical nature of the November 6 election: “We have a couple of weeks to save democracy!” His talk is on-line

Volunteer drivers with rideshare2vote.com brought a half dozen cars. Some of them posed for a photo with candidate Dan Brown. They will continue offering free rides to the polls through election day. Call them at 888-977-2250.
