We Lose Ron, Texas Gains!

January 25th is the last day that the Dallas and Tarrant County Central Labor Councils will enjoy the direct leadership of Brother Ron Smitherman. On Monday, he begins his new job as top leader of Texas Building Trades. In the Union Craftsman, Smitherman explains, "I will be representing all Building Tradesmen from across the state. Electricians, Plumbers and Pipefitters, Laborers, Operators, Ironworkers, Carpenters, Sheetmetal, Millwrights, Boilermakers, Elevator Constructors, Insulators, Painters and the Plasterers and Cement Masons. I will be working with our friends in the Texas Legislature to try and prevent bad bills that hurt the working men and women of our state."
