The Dallas AFL-CIO encourages joining with the Texas State Employees Union (TSEU-CWA) in demanding justice after being cut from the budget by the last Texas legislative session.
Over 50 state legislators have officially requested that the ten members of the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) provide an emergency pay raise for state workers and increase funding to shore up the state employees’ pension fund. News conferences are taking place in major Texas cities. Ours:

Retirees Are Outstanding
The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans is keeping up a hot pace of activism. Younger labor activists are hard pressed to keep up. Retirees can be found at Dallas AFL-CIO actions and several of their own. Retirees expect to join the state employees on September 6, and they are planning future battles.
