The Dallas Virtual Labor Day Breakfast may be the greatest ever! More than 500 union supporters attended last year, but our digital reach may be far greater!

We have the strongest possible lineup:

  • Rick Levy, President of the Texas AFL-CIO
  • Reverend Doctor Frederick Haynes, Friendship West
  • Dallas labor’s 3 awards for heroism
  • M.J. Hegar, Candidate for Texas Senate
  • Candace Valenzuela, Candidate for Congressional District 24
  • And other top-priority labor-endorsed candidates

Labor Day is the kickoff for labor’s electoral work. Outreach volunteers are lining up. Major financial backers are pitching in, and individuals are sending $15 contributions by check or through our PayPal account.

Seniors Will Die

Activists with the Dallas Chapter of Texas Alliance for Retired Americans are closely watching the weather predictions because they may have to delay their planned “Rally and Die-In” at 10AM on Wednesday, September 9, at 1100 Commerce in downtown Dallas. The crisis is urgent!

President Trump has cut off new payments to Social Security and Medicare. He has announced his intention to continue destroying the programs. Sometime next year, those who depend on disability payments will lose out. By mid-2023, all Social Security and Medicare payments will stop, according to the Alliance for Retired Americans.

Social Security is the main source of income for most American seniors, and Medicare is their best hope of health coverage. Without them, seniors are sure to die!
