Labor Solidarity Is the Answer
America’s white supremacists grabbed their place in the world’s fascist movement on Wednesday. The AFL-CIO has collected a book-length compendium of labor’s denunciations. Denunciations from politicians and the public at large are even more extensive. But what is the solution?
Labor solidarity is the long-term and short-term solution. As we draw together and organize with our progressive allies, we form the best barricade against the forces that would incinerate democracy. Here at home, the Central Labor Council becomes more important every day! Your participation and voice are needed.
Retirees Buttress Democracy
Among the best supporters of America’s unions are her retirees. The Texas Alliance for Retired Americans proudly joined the democratic forces that led to an election win in Georgia. They are holding a statewide meeting and fund raiser on-line at 4 PM on January 9. They ask for a minimum $10 contribution from every Texas supporter.
MLK Knew How
America has produced no more effective protest leader than Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Financial Secretary Treasurer Lewis Fulbright will lead an on-line discussion on "Labor and Dr King" at 6 PM on January 15. The ZOOM meeting will be streamed on our Facebook Page
