Saturday is Food Drive Day

Every year on the second Saturday, the National Association of Letter Carriers sponsors the largest food drive in America. Just leave your non-perishable food items by your mailbox and your letter carrier picks it up. It’s just another way that unions benefit everyone!

Labor Gets Good News

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Election results from May 4:

GOOD NEWS: Your Dallas Central Labor Council endorsed in 13 City Council races. We are proud to share that the Labor movement won 10 races for Mayor and City Council. Of the three races we lost two came as no surprise.

BUT: 3 of the 10 races we won are in a run off. Early vote starts May 28, 2019 and Election Day is June 8, 2019.

ACTION ITEMS: Mayor Scott Griggs, Incumbent Philip Kingston in District 14 and new Super Progressive/Pro Labor Candidate Erin Moore in District 9.  AT our very next meeting, we will also be discussing other labor friendly candidates who are in the run off: District 4's Carolyn Arnold and District 7's Tiffinni Young

Without these CRUCIAL votes on the Dallas City Council, moving a Pro Working Family Agenda will be very difficult over the next years. There is a desperate need for massive membership mobilization and the need of COPE funds for the political campaign. See below for mobilization times.

CAN WE COUNT ON YOU?

I would like to give a SHOUT to the Union Affiliates that were most outstanding:
