Oppose the Billionaire Coup!

Working families and retirees will come together on February 15 to say “No Cuts!”

- “No Cuts” Rally
- 2PM February 15
- Civic Garden Park
- 1100 Commerce
- Downtown, Dallas
The Texas AFL-CIO had a good way of summarizing what is happening: “This is a billionaire-led coup of our federal government that will have devastating consequences for working people everywhere!”

Everyone is invited to help us make personalized signs 4-6PM Tuesday, February 11, at 1408 N Washington. “No Cuts” could mean the environment, public servants, civil rights, immigrants, health care, democracy, voting rights, or whatever you think is important.

The national labor plan is beginning to take shape. The AFL-CIO, which has already participated in a big protest rally in Washington DC, wants to make sure that local people are getting involved. There are unfolding events and target dates already mobilizing people and we can look forward to opportunities during congressional recesses on February 15 and March 10, International Women’s Day, Tax Day, Workers Memorial Day, and the all-encompassing International Workers Day.

In the past, different organizations and individuals created their own separate political “silos” and saw no need to come together. America can no longer afford divisions. Labor provides the progressive core around which we can build the desperately needed broad coalition. We win when we stand together!
Elections Begin Political Victories
Our February 15 “No Cuts” rally takes place on the day after local candidates have submitted their filings. It will be a good opportunity to meet some of the best ones. Labor’s critical endorsement process is already being planned out and will be followed by an all-out effort to put working families at the top of every candidates’ agenda.
