We Aren't the Criminals!

Anyone who incites illegal acts or violence during tomorrow’s protests is effectively working for Trump and Abbott. Avoid them completely. By illegally calling out uninvited federal and state forces against Americans exercising our First Amendment rights of free speech and assembly, Trump and Abbott are the true criminals, not us.
Organizers of the approximately 2,000 peaceful American demonstrations on “No Kings Day,” June 14, are unanimous in asking all participants to avoid being suckered in by Trump, Abbott, or any provocateurs they may have paid or inspired.
By the millions, we are standing up for our rights. Times and locations for at least 14 North Texas demonstrations are listed on the map at http://nokings.org including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Mineola, Greenville, Kaufman, McKinney, Frisco, Frisco/Plano, Carrollton, Denton, Flower Mound, Euless, and Weatherford.
The Dallas AFL-CIO and Young Active Labor Leaders will have tables at City Hall at noon. The Dallas Chapter of Texas Alliance for Retired Americans will be there, as well as at least two other North Texas sites. Labor’s retiree advocates will have tables in every major Texas city. Drop by and sign up to keep organizing!
With Youth Backing, Labor Wins Again
Political Director Earnest Tilley has announced that our candidate won the runoff in District 8. We lost only one race in the City Council elections just past. It is particularly noteworthy that our youth organization, DFW Young Active Labor Leaders, played a significant role in our victories.

Arash Farasat, Texas Vice Chair, has explained how young people strategized even before the first round of endorsement interviews to win victories and further strengthen our movement. Listen to his podcast interview.
