Andres Bocanegra

Andres Bocanegra serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Rio Grande Valley Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, where he leads the Council’s financial operations and plays a central role in strengthening its governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability. Known for his strategic approach and results-driven leadership, Andres has been instrumental in modernizing internal systems, advancing compliance practices, and positioning the Council for growth and impact.

He also serves as Secretary of La Joya AFT, where he represents educators and advocates for strong public schools and worker rights. Across both roles, Andres is focused on building a more transparent, effective, and action-oriented labor movement in the Rio Grande Valley.
