Houston: Solidarity Action: A Day of Truth and Freedom

The Gulf Coast AFL-CIO, alongside our affiliated unions, stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Minneapolis and with communities across this country facing fear, intimidation, and injustice. We condemn ICE’s brutal assault on Minnesota and the ongoing targeting of immigrant families nationwide. This is not who we are. This is not the America that working people fight for.

Labor has always stood on the side of dignity, due process, and human rights. An attack on immigrant communities is an attack on the labor movement itself, on our co-workers, our neighbors, and our families. We refuse to stay silent while our communities are torn apart.

We call on all union members, allies, and people of conscience to join us for a Day of Truth and Freedom—to speak out, to stand together, and to demand an end to cruelty and abuse of power.
