Texas Alliance for Retired Americans is joined by Bexar Democrats, AFL- CIO. League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Labor Council of Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) and Alamo City Democrats to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Social Security Act and to recognize the failure of Congressman Chip Roy to support Social Security and other lifesaving benefits that Americans have earned and paid for.
We will present the "Congressional ZERO Award"--as opposed to the Congressional Hero award--to Congressman Roy. Everyone is affected by the faithlessness of this Republican administration in honoring this institution that has saved lives and lifted millions of people--people with disabilities, widows and orphans as well as senior citizens--out of a life of poverty.
Everyone needs to show up to point the finger at who is failing America and its hard working citizens.
