Solidarity with CWA District 6 Virtual Day of Action

District 6 has been at the bargaining table with AT&T for some time, and the negotiations have been challenging. However, in District 6—and across the country—solidarity remains our greatest strength. Now, more than ever, we need to stand together.
📢 WHAT TO DO ON APRIL 10, 2025:
✅ Wear RED to show support for our bargaining team.
✅ Take a picture of yourself wearing red and holding a sign that reads: I Stand in Support of District 6 (download printable sign here).
✅ Email your photos to: cwad6@cwa-union.org.
This call to action is rooted in our history. In 1989, CWA members went on strike against Bell Atlantic, fighting for the protections we still rely on today. During that strike, Gerry Hogan, Chief Steward of CWA Local 1103, was killed while walking the picket line. His death led to the tradition of wearing red on Thursdays—a symbol of our strength, our unity, and our commitment to one another.
The Company may view a strike as business as usual, but for us, it is about our livelihoods, our families, and our future! We do not take these fights lightly, and we know that when we stand together, we WIN!
We will not allow the Company to take away the wages, benefits, and job security that we have fought so hard to achieve—not when we stand united.
🔴 SOLIDARITY IS NOT JUST AN IDEA—IT IS OUR POWER! 🔴
