Workers at Ashland Specialty Chemicals in Texas City are on an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike!

70 skilled workers represented by the Texas City Metal Trades Council, AFL-CIO — IUOE Local 564, IBEW Local 527, UA Local 211, and IAM District Lodge 776 — voted to reject the company's contract and authorize this strike because the company is: 

❌ Forcing employees to perform work outside their craft 
❌ Proposing slashing paid sick time 
❌ Outsourcing storeroom jobs to outside contractors
