We want to hear from union members like YOU at our Tyler Labor Town Hall!
While workers are unionizing now more than ever and union popularity is at a 60-year high, that’s not translating into electing more lawmakers willing to put workers ahead of their billionaire donors.
That's why Texas AFL-CIO President Leonard Aguilar and Secretary-Treasurer Lorraine Montemayor are hitting the road for our Statewide Listening Tour to hear from Texans about:
- What are the greatest threats you see for the Texas labor movement?
- What should our state elected leaders be doing to help you?
- What can the Texas AFL-CIO do to support you in the issues and campaigns that you are working on?
- What should the future of the Texas labor movement should look like?
This is meant to be a family-style labor meeting with Tyler area union members and immediate family only, meaning no campaigning or political party activities will be allowed. We want to talk with our members about the future of the labor movement and our state.
Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP is required!
