AFL-CIO President Shuler will Headline 2025 Constitutional Convention in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – This month, the Texas AFL-CIO will host its 2025 Constitutional Convention in San Antonio featuring hundreds of Texas union members and several national labor leaders, including national AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler.
“The Texas labor movement is a force in building an economy that works for all of us both in state and nationally,” said AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler. “It’s an honor to be joining the Texas AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention, where unions from across all types of jobs will come together to forge a collective vision for the future. We are united in our mission to lift working people up and fight billionaire-backed policies that erode freedom, fairness, and economic security. Under the leadership of the Texas AFL-CIO, workers in Texas are rising up, fighting back and creating a better future for our families. I’m thrilled to be a part of this historic event!”
“I’m honored to welcome President Shuler to Texas again to inspire our growing movement,” said Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy. “This year’s convention theme is ‘A Labor Movement as Big as Texas,’ because that’s what we need to build to protect workers and their families in Greg Abbott’s Texas. If we can change Texas, we can change the country. I cannot wait to see hundreds of our brothers and sisters from across the state in one room strategizing and organizing — together.”
