Levy: Texas Workers Ready to Fight Back Against Trump’s Texas Takeover

AUSTIN, Texas – Today, the Texas AFL-CIO released the following statement ahead of Gov. Greg Abbott’s not-so-special session:

“It’s time for Greg Abbott to cut the BS — the only real reason to hold this special session is to let Trump take over our state. It’s weak and cowardly,” said Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy. “He’s ignoring the real problems Texas workers face. We need leaders who put Texans first, not those who play political games. And Texas workers will fight back with everything we’ve got.”
