Texas AFL-CIO Urges Texans to Fight Back at End of Second Special Session

AUSTIN, Texas – Today, the Texas AFL-CIO released the following statement after the Texas House and Senate both adjourned to end Greg Abbott’s second special session.
“Greg Abbott’s farce of a special session caused irreparable harm to our state,” said Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy. “With attacks on Texans’ personal lives, our cities, and our very democracy — Abbott’s made it clear that he sides with the billionaires and bullies over every day workers. We need politicians who put Texans first, and our labor movement won’t stop fighting ‘til we win.”
