Texas Flood Resources & How to Help 2026

As Texans recover from the recent floods, the Texas AFL-CIO has compiled a list of resources for both union members and the general public. Thank you to all of our emergency responders for their work during this crisis.

- Workers Assistance Program: Counseling, legal referrals, financial consultation, and helpful information for union members, (800) 522-0550
- Many international unions provide direct payments to members for disaster relief. Please contact your local and international if you have property damage or loss. Some examples include:

📝 Report Damage
- Report damage to the Texas Division of Emergency Management here.
- Report damage to FEMA: Individuals should first file claims with their insurance providers and then apply for assistance by registering online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling (800) 621-3362, or by using the FEMA App.
